The Sk8-Hi , originally called the Style 38, was introduced in 1978 as the first high-top skate shoe. The shoe featured an innovative high padded collar for ankle support and a reinforced toe cap. It was the second shoe to bear the iconic Vans sidestripe and gave the Vans family a whole new look. It was and still is a symbol of "Off The Wall" culture.
The Vans Pig Suede Sk8-Hi Shoes is the first legendary high top shoe. It features sturdy suede uppers in a variety of classic and secret colorways. This lace-up shoe also features the signature verified waffle outsole for reliable traction.
