And something is about to happen at LOWA too. Werner Riethmann and his development team tinkered with a new production method for hiking boots to make them much lighter. What was previously only common for leisure and running shoes, formed the basis for a new hiking shoe construction. For the first time, LOWA made a shoe whose sole was no longer glued but directly molded on – the birth of the renegade .
